swedie, that is so brilliant, you are a clever girl, made me quite dizzy!

Have just eaten vegetable cous cous with a sweet chicken side dish, gorgeous, have bathed and am in bed watching last week's Come Dine with Me! cosy, cosy.

It's forecast rain tomorrow until wed and getting coldish again, and I do not mind!!!
Sounds cosy cosy Neti:) Contrary to what I said yesterday I slept in the afternoon today - cos I had a headache - and I dreamed peacefully about my mother. How nice. We had a difficult relationship in many ways and I'm sad about it so it felt good dreaming like this, and when I woke up the headache was gone. Almost time for the third episode of Downton Abbey now! Last week's episode was the one where Maggie Smith asked "What... what is a weekend?" ha ha ha I bl00dy love her! If you google that phrase, seems it's already legendary! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quce8jKo12M
eek, very good Kit, how on earth do you do that?

Taste tests reveal that lemon lime and mint is a really refreshing combo for a cold summer drink. I don't suppose anyone will be producing it in the northern hemisphere any time soon. I also took a photo of all the different sorts of hummus in the supermarket, but the thingy I use to get photos on to the computer doesn't seem to work with sis's computer, so I will have to get a different thingy or wait till I get home.
hello all, good day here, sis and I went shopping, took the dogs out in the car and left DH to enjoy some much needed peace and quiet. He is really well has eaten and drunk like a horse today but very tired, not surprising. He is already healing nicely.
I should be going to sleep but have to get the late night hot flush out of the way and I am still a bit wired from yesterday.
cooled off and unwound....goodnight moon, goodnight raindrops, goodnight biddies (and Vinny wherever you are.)
Get yourself a different thingy - so to speak - at once jno, I need to see those five million hummuses :-~~~ The Psycho guest house...? ...easy as pie, it's the Scary/Horror animation in LunaPic. Vinny showed us LunaPic http://www.lunapic.com (How be you Vinny? We worry. We miss you.)

This episode's Maggie quip was it WOULD be a foreigner to die during his stay at your estate, ha ha ha ha ha!

Woofy your husband seems quite determined to heal:))) Aww I love that you love Goodnight Moon, you must get it.
You might have put a vertigo warning on that link Kit! I had to go all the way via imageshack to see it too...tut...

good evening..been quaite quiet in here I see...went shopping with my skin 'n blister, bought some cheap 'n cheerful things from sains - 25% off today - and plenty of lotions & potions from boots, the winter weather & heating has left me rather shrivelled.
Over a cuppa in the cafe we were discussing what the most embarrassing thing was that we could do to shock our offspring...you know, payback time. Piercings, tattoos? Nope, probably be seen as cool...so in the end I decided we'd tell them we were having cosmetic surgery....erm... <points & whispers>...down below. A designer doodah...and we'd put the pics on facebook, Before and After. hahahahahaha...my poor sis could hardly breathe :o)

Oooh, Carters fizzy lime & lemon with a blob of ice cream in it, that takes me back.

Nite woofy...and anyone else on their way. Hope I can stay awake to watch the Tudors.
Well Miss you might have worn this tee to help me remember...! http://i52.tinypic.com/vqircy.png ...he he... sorry though. I did remember but only after I'd posted. Sounds like a fun day with sis:-D
sigh, I got a new thingy but it doesn't work any better, so I suspect the problem is sis's computer, which runs on about five gnat-power (can't even afford hamsters to run the treadmill, so passing insects are press-ganged to do it). So no photos for a while. I also bought a pair of canvas shoes, lace-ups, for $17, about eight pounds, which seems pretty cheap. Baking hot so I am lying in the sun. It'll be too crowded to park at the beach, being Sunday, but I might try tomorrow if the weather continues.
oh, and I love these disposable toothbrushes you can get here. You don't even need water (though a bit of saliva is useful). I've not seen them in the UK, though they may exist in places I don't go like Morrisons and Harrods

Good morning sunshine, except that there isn't any here.

Glad Mr W is recovering nicely, he's a tough old bird, bless him.

Yes jno, we know about lemon, lime and mint, we drink if often here in the summer, really refreshing, and we also have emergency tooth cleaners, although they are little strips if paper (I suppose) in sealed packets and one just rubs them on the teeth and gums, nothing else needed.

Swedie, I also had a difficult relation with my mother, although she was very good to me, but she was also very jealous. Whenever I dream of her, she is always cross with me!

jno just noticed on that toothbrush link that the temperature in Auckland is 24 ° (are you in Auckland?) it has been 21 - 22° here for the last couple of days so you didn't have to fly that far, you should have visited neti! Mind you today it says 13°, but as I am still tucked up in my cama, I have no idea of the temp!

and all you other dear biddies, I hope you and your maridos (if applicable) are well and happy! I must admit that taking two buses there and back to get brown bread is above and beyond the call of duty! I would do it for clothes or cakes!
Good morning...it's dull, a meagre 6C & feels very chilly in the breeze here, tut, back to winter.

jno you can buy those brushes on Amazon & ebay

Hope you've caught up with yourself today woofy.
Good morrow
Cold here too but bright and very breezy .
Hope you are all OK .

Just for you KIt ..Maggies brilliant one liners and bon mots .

Shaney I enjoyed that link, Maggie smith is superb!
Morning.

Absolutely beautiful day. Wall to wall sunshine an light breeze and nice and warm. Thank goodness.

Haven't read through threads, but will this evening. Have Master LL and his missus coming for dinner.

Had a dreadful day yesterday. One of my days where my eyes puff up and itch, all my joints and muscles hurt and I get dreadful IBS. I am sort of linking it to alcohol because it seems to happen when I drink even a glass of wine. It might be something else though. All I know is that it makes me feel like death warmed up and even my brain won't function properly.

Enough of that - see you later girls (and boy?)

Love you all xxxxx
Afternoon, b1tches (well that's what my morning show on the radio calls its listeners and ardent fans: Morning b1tches=:0)

Zingo and I have found a mutual new favourite food: Smetana http://en.wikipedia.o...a_%28dairy_product%29 Not new as such of course but we haven't been able to buy it here before. It's very different from other similar (!) dairy products and very useful. Best of all, there's no lactose in this variety which is perfect as cats typically suffer from lactose intolerance. For myself, I made some kind of white-beans-and-green-peas-spread yesterday and for Zingo it's Smetana mixed with a little water every morning. We love it:) Said somewhere it's reminiscent of Devon clotted cream but I wouldn't know. They have clotted cream in The English Shop here in Stockholm but it was made approximately back in 1994;-) and is full of preservatives and other chemicals so I'm not tempted. 'S okay jno above-mentioned peas-and-bean spread will be my consolation until you get your thingies in a row and show us the hummus.

Thank you so much Shaney:-D I was thinking I wanted to find a Lady Grantham collection but I was afraid to run into spoilers so that has kept me from googling for it myself. Must be such fun for her to get her teeth into a part like this one at her age. Is she in the public light a lot, like, if Parky were still at it, would she be likely to accept an invitation? I remember her from my childhood even, she's always been brilliant at what she does but I don't think I've ever seen her as herself if you see what I mean. Jno she sang about the coast of Coromandel... (The Courtship Of The Yonghy-bonghy-bo)

Robi what's up? You don't sound yourself, is it Chas?
I like the bit where she's introduced to Mrs Crawley .
And Mrs Crawley says
" What shall we call each other "
And she sort of simpers, purses her lips ,looks down her nose and says
" I'll call YOU Mrs Crawley and you can call ME, Lady Grantham ".
Even her DiL calls her Lady Grantham .
She absoultely made that programme .Wonderful actress.
I don't think she's one of these actresses that seeks the limelight too much Kit .
I've never seen her interviewed on a chat show .She was on Parky way back in '73.though
She's also had breast cancer recently .
