Doc - I am sure mercia doesn't mind what you spend on your p.c.s, musical instruments, car repairs, fishing equipment etc. Be a nice chap and ignore her postings if they upset you so much xx

somewhere I have! eggless cake, fatless sponge, flourless cake - it's a matter of digging out cookbooks/recipe folders - anyway, I gotta go more guests have arrived..
mercia...I cook 3 days a week for the homeless and those in need. And on the whole-the majority of them seem grateful...and thankful, for all they get.
I meant ordinary families....or has this country finally been broken down into the 'haves' and the 'have-nots' ???

I'm not on about the homeless, I know they're grateful, I'm on about trying to teach single mothers etc how to cook. They would rather Jr have crisps and sweets, biscuits and rubbish than cook a proper meal. I've been shopping with them, and what do they want to buy? Frozen burgers, fish fingers, chips, pizza's, lasagne and curry. When I tell them they can make them for half the price and taste better one girl told me 'I don't have time' so i asked what she did when Jr was at playgroup she said she texed her friends and watched TV.
So long as you enjoyed it doc it really doesn't matter x
oh dear doc, why didnt you make your burgers and sausages from scratch? were you texting your mates and watching tv by any chance?? ;)

Richmond sausages are pretty average, try the co-ops own pork sausages the best i have found!
Redhelen....not quite that extreme.....but interesting menus on a more realistic budget.

As for the somewhat ignorant single mums...blame it on THEIR mums. That....and they have no real love of food...so no interest in cooking well.

Richmond sausages secrete far too much fat - watch out for the cholesterol doc

Tesco finest pork sausages, thick and meaty and go well on a barbie
