I am the proud inventor of Cupboard Chow Mien !Everything except the frozen chicken was from the cupboard.Had a new jar of chilli stuff and thought it would add a nice bit of warmth........I think it must of mutated,I only used 1/4 teaspoon (I don't like hot food)and it has blown everyone's head off.Any ideas as to how I can calm down the leftovers?I dont want to wast them and the first mouthful was just what I wanted, then the heat kicked in!
Thanks all
Aya.

Stir in some natural yoghurt
That ^^ ... or add lots of the other ingerdients and bulk it out.

Was it Harissa that you used? ... If so, I'd pop a loo-roll into the freezer for the morning.
Coconut milk, butter or sugar and lemon juice.

Thanks thats a great idea about the yoghurt,I just so happen to have half a pot about to go off!
Thanks for your other ideas,I was going to try just bulking it out,so maybe if I try both it will be just right.
I was so proud of myself thinking of this, store cupboard stuff is always handy at this time if year.
Thanks again
Aya
Add some coconut milk.
If the yoghurts about to go off then throw it away as it sounds like the heat in your curry will already cause a gastric problem without them also having to deal with curdled yoghurt which will no doubt give them a bad case of the runs.

Since my guts are bubbling away that is very good advice MickyMacgraw,so I will get some fresh yoghurt.
Thats what I love about Answerbank, people still give a fig!

Glad to be of assistance.
yoghurt in a chow mein? sounds a bit odd, hope it goes down ok
Question Author
I wont taste it though and will only use a bit.
My cupboard chow mien has jam in it so I don't think yoghurt will harm it as much as the heat has harmed me.Its a bit windy where I am :-)
jam? lol, i'll bet it might get a tad windier!
Jam? Are you sure it's chow mein you have and not some kind of chinese dessert?
Maybe she meant ham?
