Hello... Had a meal once... where I ordered olives .. cured meats.. etc as a starter... there was a little dish that came with it, that had balsamic vinigar & olive oil in it.. to dunk your bread in.. naughty i know...cooking a meal this weekend for frinds and would like to do this as a starter.. can anyone tell me..if I can just lob some Balsamic & oil into little dishes.. or is more complicated than that... be grateful for any ideas..Ta everso Mrs C xx
In an Italian restaurant that we go to, they just pour the oil and vinegar on to a little side plate. You say it's naughty but it's much healthier that putting loads of butter on your bread.

My husband is italian and goes for olive oil on its own. He puts olive oil on almost anything. We get through a lot of extra virgin olive oil and also Parmesan cheese.
