KM Links Game - December week 3
52 Answers
Good morning everyone - well I hope you've all got your thinking caps on this morning because I don't have the faintest idea what we're supposed to do with the crossword with which Kate has presented us, so I've automatically put on my dunce's cap !!!
Before going any further - I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, a safe holiday period and all the best for the coming Year. Thank you all for your friendly comments, banter and slightly bizarre suggestions throughout this past year, I've enjoyed every minute of it.
Now - what do we do with these "links" which are -
CRICKET ON THE HEARTH
THE CHIMES
THE BATTLE OF LIFE
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
At the top of the page, Kate tells us that Dickens and Christmas go together like Morecambe and Wise - whether this is to lead or mislead, I have no idea, but she finishes by wishing us a Happy Christmas -
As usual, all are welcome to join in, the show closes at midnight Sunday, results later Monday and word lengths are not a problem, what else is there to say but GOOD LUCK !!! S

Good morning all. I see that the snow is still thick upon the ground. I was one of those people caught in their cars on the A12 the other night in the snow. It took us over 4 hours to get home on a journey that normally takes half an hour, such that we got home just after three in the morning, shattered and exhausted.
If it's characters from these novellas that we are after then I'll go with :
Caleb Plummer for Cricket on the Hearth
Alderman Cute in The Chimes
Mr Snitchley from The Battle of Life (not so easy to determine the characters in this one)
Bob Cratchit from A Christmas Carol
May I also take this opportunity to wish one and all all the best for the coming festive season and happy comping for 2010 ! (Good luck with sorting this one out Steff !!).

The Battle of Life ROMANCE
A Christmas Carol GHOST STORY
I have few hopes......
Very much doubt I will be able to do next week's links, or the week after's.
Have a Wonderful Christmas, everyone and a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Good morning all. I have to admit that I'd never heard of two of these books (I can't read Dickens ever since we had to study Great Expectations in detail for two consecutive years at school). I also think that Kate may be looking for characters, so (after looking them up on the Internet) I'm going to go for these:
Cricket on the Hearth: (MR.) TACKLETON
The Chimes: TROTTY VECK
The Battle of Life: MICHAEL WARDEN
A Christmas Carol: EBENEZER SCROOGE
Have a lovely Christmas everyone.
