Oblivion problems....

Hi all,

just bought The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. Its all installed but doesn't run.

Windows brought up one of those error messages where can you chose to send a report. I did this and I said somehthing about a update / patch?

I've downloaded the patch but when it has gone to update the game (which it says will take about 20 mins) nothing happens and the percentage bar does not move.

Anyone else had this problem with the game? if so any help would be apreciated.

are you downloading the patch through your web browser or through Oblivion itself?

Is Oblivion being blocked by your firewall?

I've got the patch and it has updated my game, but I am still getting the same errror message. It says.

Oblivion has encountered a problem and needs to cklose. We are sorry for the inconventiience.

If you are in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.

Please tell microsoft about this problem.

Any ideas? I have sent the report but have not got anything back? Will I get something back? TIA
