I read this topic allthe time but have never asked anything and wonder if someone can help me with this query. My cousin was killed in France during the War - not sure of the date but it must have been between 1940 and 45. Have tried Scotlands People but no joy - Can someone advise me where I would find anything on this please. TIA
Thank you all very much - I thought I sent details over an hour ago but obviously I did something wrong! Thanks very much for replies.
His name was Hugh Hogg from Aberdeen, he was killed in France between 1940 and 1945 - he would have been aged no younger than 20 and no older than 30 - sorry I cannot be more precise as there is no one still alive to ask. I think he was in the Medical Corps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The cemetery site Saschs supplied I think would have helped if I had known the name of the cemetery but a bit daunting to go into every cemetery!
If this is him I think you can order a copy of his death certificate. It is shown in the Index to War Deaths 1939-19948 Army Officers and is Year 1944 Volume 2 page 219.
Sorry to trouble you again. The site says there are 10 entries with regard to this question but I can only get 1 to 7 - can you advise what I have to do to get the last three - cannot see what to do though it is probably staring me in the face!
