Just WHAT is a slaker?

I read on the 1911 census that one of my ancestors (female) was a SLAKER(it was quite clear).I can't find it anywhere on the net.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
She lived in Shepherds Bush/Acton,if that's any help?

Now Naz just WHAT did you think a Honey Dipper might be!LOL
I have a friend who is probably the last "Looker" on the Romney Marsh in Kent.
It's an old name for a shepherd.
There are other shepherds there,but he (at 75) is the last to call himself a Looker~he looks for the sheep,simple as that.
