It is good archaeological practice normally to rebury close to original position, hence Leicester are hoping he will be buried in Leicester Cathedral - nearby, but not a cathedral in 1485. A Palace spokesman has indicated the Queen would be OK with that , I think.

The Leicester Mercury has been full of it all for days. Do you live where you could get earlier copies?

I would have thought (if it is him) that he would be buried in Westminster Abbey. I didn't realise that that is what happens. If that is the case then he should be buried in Leicester.

They have a descendant from Canada called Michael Ibsen, who is providing the dna sample.The line came from Richard 3rd's sister Anne.

It seems that he could be re-buried in a Church not far from the place where he was found.

Good grief. What a waste of money that would be.
Interesting enough to discover if this is Richard III but beyond that, let those with the interest foot the bill, not the state.
Where on earth would this stop?
What about Henry VIII's executed wives?
What about Thingy that was killed with a red-hot poker where the sun don't shine?
Or whosit that drowned in a butt of malmsey?
That was then. This is now. And I speak as one who loves history and archaeology.
