Frog Spawn

Have we offended the frogs? This is the first time I have had no frog spawn since the pond was set up some 20 years ago. Friends in the village with ponds have also said they have none. Has anyone else experienced this?

Christianne, I've not seen any yet either.
I'm thinking about looking in some of the places where I used to see it in abundance. Hopefully its just a little late this year ?

None here either. Could it be something to do with the heavy rain? Pond and stream flooding and running off?

I'm in the Essex flatlands and I've loads of frogspawn, but no toad spawn.

In Northants and for the first time in the four years I've been in this house I have loads of frogspawn.....in fact the tadpoles are now tadding....☺

Friends in Devon had some very early and lost it in the frosts.

South coast, at least 8 large blobs this year, quite early too and they've all hatched now. The pond is a seething mass of wiggly tadpoles. Sorry.

Had our two big blobs of frogspawn delivered today! Romford Essex.
We only have a smallish ornamental pond now but frogs have spent winter there for the last 2..3 yrs now. We thought we,d get some after seeing a frog hanging around the patio y/day.

Thank you for all your comments. Sadly no happy croaking here in Lincolnshire. No wriggly tadpoles. We have been given the heave. We have no nesting blue tits either. They peep into the boxes, then fly off. But we do have a nesting collar dove perching on the Sky dish! The nest she has made would certainly not pass a Health and Safety inspection.
