Does anyone know which British Regiment had the most Battalions during WWI?

I wondered if it might be the Territorials, not sure why and I don't really understand the structure, but there were lots of them.

The Territorials are reserve battalions of the Regular Army, before WW1 each Regular Army regiment had 2 battalions, and up to 3 Territorial battalions, the idea was that in war, the Regulars would serve overseas and the Territorials stayed in the UK for home defence against invasion, however when Kitchener made his famous "your country needs you" poster, so many men rushed to join up that some regiments had over 30 battalions. for example the Royal Scots had 37 battalions at the end of the war.

Although I dont know the answer to the original question, I would guess that a regiment that recuited in London would have the most battalions, ie the London Irish or the London Scottish or perhaps the Rifle Brigade due to the capital being the city with the highest population. Hope this helps
