Locks For Writing Slopes?

I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

Hi All. Back now after the morning in Sainsburys and an afternoon buying cards from a shop in the precinct where I get 10% off with my gold card.

Neti Iceland isn't that exciting here either. I do like some of their stuff though and they've gone a bit up market lately .

Iceland used to have all their different sections colour-coded and one day when I was pushing jno jnr round the shop in his buggy he started pointing at the signs and telling me what the colours were. He was about three. Goodness knows where he picked it up.

I actually managed to get out today, get my errands done and get back without getting blown away or persisted on. Hatches are now battened down again and the garden is swimming. heigh ho

Another dull day ,still atm the moment but supposed to be very windy later.
My neighbours funeral this morning .We're only going to the service which is just across at the church.I can't face going to the interrment.

Morning...dismal here too, and yes, it's going to be wild later. That means hearing the neighbours bins bowling over at all hours again I suppose, they don't move them to a sheltered place. That's uni education for you....shame they don't do degrees in common sense.

Lol jno, the observation skills of little ones amazes me. Little man moondust knows where everything is in this house...if you've misplaced something ask a small person.

Good afternoon all. I was planning to craft today but the weather moved in early which rules out doing much except sit with the dogs and read, watch telly or bash the computer. Having water paint or glue around can get messy if a dog panics and suddenly needs a lap, likewise scissors, needles and so on are risky. So far so good, the bin men got around early (no wheelies here, loads of black bags) and the dogs are dozing and waking. Tesco are delivering later so i don't even have to worry about what's for dinner.

Well that was very sad .Poor old love ,not many of us there .Just her daughter,grandaughter and a couple of elderly ladies ,the carers and the gardener.
I'll be turning up there yet again next week .The vicar will soon start to think I'm a professional mourner :(

it seems to go that way shaney, I had a few funerals in succession and the local vicar started recognising me in the street and saying hello.

I'll be burying my laptop at this rate. It's back in menders.because I had win 10 and they buffered it and formatted it and so can only have win 8. I am not a happy bunny. And they spoke as if it were my fault.!! It'll they had explained that to me I would have gone elsewhere.

I have mistaken the dates and wasnusingnlast year's calender so we ate losing a day. I though Nov 30 was a Sunday. It's not!!
Washed, dried in the open air and ironed my bedding, made 2 fish pies (one for cat sitter ). Just starting to get chilly it's 16.38.
