Tyrone, flats and a vacuum cleaner - please help!

I seem to be the only person in the world that remembers watching an American cartoon series in the late 1970s.

The main characters were an old couple living high up in a block of flats. The man was called Tyrone and he used to fly out of the window on a cylindrical vacuum cleaner.

I've seen the posts on this site about 'Baggy Pants and the Nitwits', which featured a man called Tyrone and his wife, but nothing is said about a block of flats and a vacuum cleaner, so maybe I'm thinking of another programme.

Can anyone please tell me they've seen it too and, even better, tell me its name?

I remember Baggy Pants and the Nitwits.Wasn't Tyrone an old man with a large white moustache and raincoat? I remember that he was able to fly but don't remember the vacuum cleaner though.

I think the characters were based on a couple that were in Rowan and Martins Laugh In...?

Yeah Ruth Buzzi and either Arte Johnson or Henry Gibson played the old man, they used to sit on a bench in the studio and fall off the bench, that's all i remember, no idea on the cartoon.

Thanks a lot, everyone. I think I'm resigned to admitting that it must be Baggy Pants and the Nitwits. I don't know why I have a vacuum cleaner in my mind, and no-one else seems to remember the block of flats, but the name, moustache and flying all fit.
