I've just stripped all the old wallpaper in the bedroom back to the bare plaster. The wallpaper had been up for years & the plaster is in good condition. All prep work (i.e. filling cracks etc.) has been completed. Do I just go ahead and paint as usual? or do I need a plaster sealant or to undercoat first?
Well if you want a really nice finish and you have got it all smooth, try using a cheap paint first, then the paint of your choice.. on new plaster I would always undercoat as it really absorbs the paint fresh plaster . I'M a builders wife.
