Hi,

I noticed a couple of small shrubs I planted last year are now covered in 100s of Greenflys some are eggs and some are moving around on legs. What is the best way to get rid of this menace as my plants are dying

Thank you all

a weak solution of washing up liquid sprayed on will do it
I did that last year MM, and went a bit nuts on the washing up liquid side of it, nearly killed my rose bushes.

Aint messing about this year, already bought proper spray all ready for the little green buggers when they arrive.
did say weak Boo !

Boo, just set Barry on them, would save you a fortune. :-)

The washing up liquid thingy which Minty has suggested, works well.
nisa go steady on the washing up liquid though..you need very little in spray gun an fill up with water

Thanks Murraymints will use very little liquid to make a weak solution.
If your shrubs are sturdy, a good blast with a fine jet of water from a hose, should get rid of them.
I managed to get rid of them from my Acers last year, using this method.
