Hello .My friend bought me a beautiful hydrangea for my garden.Could anyone tell me what is the best soil to put it in,please. Thankyou.

if you plant it in acid soil you will get red flowers, alkaline soil gives you blue flowers. Ours in the front garden , quite shady and gets the early morning sun - thriving.
Think you've got that the wrong way round roslyn. It's pink in alkaline soil:-)
