Hi , I purchased hyrangea tivoli from J Parkers and they turned out to be original pink hydrangeas , plain pink . They replaced them with pathetic specimens which died though well cared for . I have now received replacements which are about 12 inches tall , nearly all the leaves are yellow with brown patches . I sent them pics and they say this is how they are supposed to look . Can anyone please put me right on this as all my existing hydrangeas have green leaves whatever stage of life they are at .
Many thanks , Lin
Tivoli are Frost Resistant and require lots of watering ( lime free water, use rainwater) . They like shade but if if grown near a tree the foilage will turn Brown due to nutrients from the soil going to the Tree roots.
Blue Hydrangeas can turn Pink unless Aluminium rich soil is applied.
