I moved 5 Hellebore plants, 3 white and 2 purple,to 10 inch pots during November and they have done really well . Now some of the flowers have died so :- What do I do with the dead flowers./ If I dead head them , how far down the flower stem do I cut them?? Cheers Chris

You did well to transplant them successfully, as the often sulk and take a while to recover.
I would cut the spent flower stems, right down to the base of the plant.

Thanks . They were in a border and were horrible . I cut off all the leaves and planted the resulting bare plant and they have flowered lovely but minus leaves. They shot up and have been great but of course these effing winds have spoiled them. Cheers
