Does anybody know why the pods on my runners are not setting. There are plenty of flowers but so far no beans.
We are in Surrey and the weather has been warm and sunny for the most last couple of months

I suspect its lack of rain. Spray the flowers with water each night when you water the roots. Good luck
Possibly a lack of pollinating insects or the wrong type of pollinator.
There is a type of bee that has a short proboscis that will take a short cut to collect nectar, via the back of the flower by piercing a hole and avoiding the reproductive parts of the flower.

If that is the case, I can only suggest growing some flowers that will attract a wide range of pollinators.

Thanks mazie. Think you are probably right. All we can do is hope for rain, although we do enjoy the sunshine
