Strawberries

This is their third year and I have lots of fruit already but they don't seem to be putting out any runners this year for me to pot on .They are not in the ground but in a strawberry pot and various other containers .Are they past their sell by date and shall I chuck them once finished fruiting and get new for next year ? I have had a few ripe fruits already and they taste OK !

He used to run cinemas there but is now basically a radio presenter. Sweet guy. But a copy and make him a rich man...

Evening, biddies. Are you looking forward to the presidential elections, I am - bye bye Mister Bushman.
I found you an avatar Neti - yaaaaaay... and one for you, Vinny - but I do love your old ones, animated or not (previous discussion on Suggs.) Don't you draw online anymore on that site, I look for a new drawing almost every day but it's oh so quiet :-(
...and guess who I found on YouTube - it's Jude making a spectacle of herself down at the Westfield shopping centre, and T'bag behind the camera!
Ha, Woofy, I knew it - that you were "an author of sorts" - I could tell from the lads' site. I remember you signed up but I didn't save the address - will we be able to follow your installments online? Good luck!
Yes, thinking about you here in Sweden too Robi...

Firstly thinking of you robi x
Thank you shaney for xword, will settle down this afternoon to have a go! I always thought sarumite was female!!
Saw "archangel" last night on Watch and Daniel Craig was good and I didn't like him before. Hubby wants "quantun of Rubbish" so will get it soon but I honestly can't be doing with it, the last Bond film I fell asleep in and couldn't be bothered to see the ending. Bond used to be sexy , amusing and exciting, what went wrong, or did I just get old??

Morning All
Well Jno what a carry on. Those poor people not being allowed to meet their friends for a chat. Are they expected to whisper then. That would prove difficult if some of them are hard of hearing.
I'm so lucky that even though I am the wrong side of 65 I can still get out and about with my friends and enjoy the things I do and I can drive. I'd be lost without my car and my mobile phone :o)
Enjoyed the joke Vin. Now don't get working too hard.
I'm not so sure about the new Bond either Neti. My friend says Quantum of whatsit is brilliant and she wants to see it again so I may go on a Wednesday with her on Orange's 2 for 1 offer then it wont cost us much.
Cuppa tea time now
see yer later 'gater(s)!

just saying hello...I was minding my own business when a bloomin great elephant whisked me up into the air & dropped me in neti's thread. Turned out it was Brenda who'd decided I needed a little normality today......hmmmm?
love the shark on the roof, Vinny will be installing one to keep the sh1tehawks away..looks like neti's got one in her pool
thank you for thinking of me, I'm ok, just a bit sad & befuddled so you won't notice much difference...how evil has the weather been over the weekend? not much better today either

Possums. Oooo I'm excited about the elections, hardly want to go to tai chi tonight. Did you hear Obama's grandmother died yesterday :-(
Loved your troublemaker pensioners on the bench jno but was really saddened by it too. If you see any articles on them winning the fight please post.
I ought to have a camera, there are things I wanna show you biddies, such as the deeds of the SoFo division of the knitting guerilla. (SoFo is the area where I live.) Luckily there's the internet and plenty of evidence there of their actions. They strike at night (actually I've no idea when they strike, it just sounded good) and leave a trail of yarn in their wake:
one
two
three
Most of their works they sew onto the object in question and it can't be removed unless you cut it off but they'll sometimes leave a knitted pillow on a bench or a scarf on a statue and it's understood anyone can bring it home with them (no not the statue). Fun innit. What do you say Shaney shall we do it. Oh she's already started... ...what the... ?? (She's been on the gin or what?)
Yeah saw the poll Robinia, thinking about posting about it on Suggs but afraid to lose my username... So, what's the story on Brenda the Elephant, is she TCL's pet elephant or what?

sits waiting for comments re pic no3
If I come & stand around in SoFo Kit will they knit me a 'wrist warmer' too? I love it, especially the bench, most suitable for a biddybum.
Sorry I don't share your excitement for the elections, I daresay my mum would have done, she was fascinated by politics & all that stuff.
well neti I just hope you're pegged on tight. I saw your post in shopping, sorry I can't help. (It was hard but I managed to resist any 'jumbo comments')...and I don't mind wintery & bright, it's the gloom that's a drag

Brenda (who is no relation to a jumbo peg) is indeed a friend of TCL's, Kit.
