help with carpet

MY daughters carpet is only 2 years old and she has spilt allsorts on it, I scubbed it the other day with washing powder and then went over it with my carpet cleaner with vax solution.....for some reason it is producing a terrible smell...and ideas on what I can go over it with to get rid of the smell...HELP!!!

Spilt allsorts on it? Even those jelly ones with the dots on them. What a waste. Bag them up, I'll have them.

Reclean it using Oxyclean - the original. it will not only clean away any stain but leave the carpet smelling fresh.
