Boring living room...

My living room is brown and cream, everything in it, brown and cream and it looks boring and in need of a new splash of colour...I like the colour of the walls, carpet, just want to add some colour in the way of curtains, canvas prints, vases flowers etc......any ideas what colour I could use? TIA

My Sister in Laws and my neighbours lounges are brown and cream with deep red accessories which looks lovely. My lounge is also mostly cream with some brown and I have pale olive green and aubergine bits.
I also think shades of blue especially the teal colour that is everywhere at the moment goes really well.

I found this when I decorated my sitting room as it is ivory with a brown leather seating unit. I livened it up with a very large triple panel of a bright red poppy from Next, a vase of silk poppies from M&S, some big fat red candles, and a bright red designer waste paper bin.........I think they've all lifted the room.

Thanks, was thinking of red...so it sounds like its gonna be red lol...craft ive just been shopping with next online and love the poppy print...oh well looks like im gonna spend more money lol!!!

My living room is brown and cream and I have bright red accessories. My bedroom is brown and duck egg blue which go together really well. My daughter has just redone her living room with cream walls, the chimney breast is teal and she has teal curtains and accessories and it looks lovely.
