How can we find out if the footings of an existing extension could withstand a further storey extension??

DO I REQUIRE PLANNING PERMISSION

He will require to know the type, width and depth of the existing foundations. This requires a trial digging in one place to find out, or a copy of the existing Building Regulations drawings for that aspect (if they exist).
