Hi everyone
I need a new fridge-freezer and had decided on a built in frost-free Zanussi
ZBB5286. Have now heard frost-frees can be unreliable - more to go wrong. Does anyone have any experience of that particular Zanussi F/F or frost-frees in general? Would be very grateful for any advice - need to make a purchase soon. Thanks in advance.

Zanussi are one of the better ones,Hotpoint have a bit of a poor reputation only found out after mine only lasted 2.5 years...should of done my research first..
Had ours (not a Zanussi) for about 5 years, no problem.

Thank you all. Feel more confident to go ahead now.
They are great but they do tend to fail after 5 years - guess designed that way. My advice make sure you have insurance cover with the company Hoover are free for 5 years but not if the annual sums are more than cost of a new one.
I have had frost free ones for yonks and never had a problem
I have separate frost free fridge and freezer..........never had any problems.
Have an LG frost free fridge freezer for about eight years now. No trouble. Great not having to defrost the freezer.
My frost-free freezer has started to fail after 15 years. However, we had a beautiful 15 year relationship. (It's a whirlpool, not a Zanussi, but I cannot fault a Zanussi)
You're supposed to defrost them ?!? No wonder I can't get the fish fingers in any more.
