Has anyone had a memory foam and a pocket sprung mattress ( not at the same time obviously ). If so which did you find was the most comfortable ?

Thanks for all of your replies folks ( even mrs overowls ). The reason I have asked is that at the moment we have a sprung mattress with memory foam topper and although I don't suffer with a bad back I do wake up some mornings feeling a bit achy, I was wondering if maybe the mattress was the cause ( mattress about 4 years old now ).
