Has anyone had a memory foam and a pocket sprung mattress ( not at the same time obviously ). If so which did you find was the most comfortable ?

Sprung mattress with a memory foam topper is what we have settled for. Very comfortable.
We did the same - pocket sprung with memory foam top. Maybe a little too comfortable on some mornings!
We bought a memory foam mattress six months ago. I will never buy any other type of mattress again.
And before you ask, no, you cannot come round to try it out
We bought a memory foam mattress about six months ago for my dodgy back. I think it's fantastic and haven't slept so well in ages. (Mr Frog hates it, though - can't decide whether to change the mattress or the man.....)
The memory one made by Tempur is excellent but for around a grand (when we bought it) so it should be.
Change the man kiki - nothing beats a good nights sleep lol

I bought the memory foam pillows as well but I couldn't settle on them so I ended up giving them away
Ditto for the tempur mattress, wouldn't want anything else (except you can't bounce on it) and ditto for the matching pillows - don't bother.
Very happy with my Dunlopillo Sancerre - pocket springs with a latex layer on top.

Seems like the best of both worlds as you get the comfort of the latex layer shaping to you and the 'bounce' of the pocket springs too. My back has been happier with this than a straight memory foam mattress.
had the best sleeps of my life on a water bed.
I'd need sea-sickness bands ...
jno...I've heard thats all you can get on a water bed!!! too many waves lolx

I have pocket sprung, but might be tempted to get a topper, people are
giving good reports on them.
While the memory foam (TempurPedic) is deffinitely the most comfortable, in my opinion, the one draw back hasn't been mentioned, that being the warmth of the mattress. Here inthe U.S. we finally found a company that offers a form fitting mattress cover that was advertised as being considerably cooler for such mattresses. Hesitantly bought and surprise! it actually works. Sure the warmth is nice for our lengthy winters but it was unbearable in the summer months... presto-changeo... that's been remedied...
It`s called Tempur here Clanad and I agree, it`s bl00dy hot. My sister had a Tempur mattress and got rid of it for that reason. I don`t think it`s very supportive to one`s back either.
Here in the uk we don't have summer months. Days or weeks if we get really lucky. One year I had a hangover and completely missed the one hot day. I kid you not!
Another vote for Tempur. I must be one of the few ladies of a certain age who, while having private nocturnal summers, doesn't find the mattress hot.
Then, of course, there's this problem, but perhaps not for woofgang... ahem.... http://voxxi.com/memo...hoose-sleep-over-sex/
Not as good as the flight deck bunks then ;-)
I find one foot stuck outside the duvet cools me!
I hate memory foam mattresses and toppers. Too hot, too soft and squidgy. Just not for me.
exactly what I do Grasscarp.
