Excess rain.

Will all this rain make hanging baskets too wet.

I took them down in the wind but obviously they are very heavy but I don't want them ruined with the rain.

no they should drain if they have a non watertight liner if you have used black plastic you might need to poke a couple of holes in the bottom
maggie, they should be fine. Hanging baskets tend to dry out really quickly, so all this rain shouldn't cause a problem

Thanks. I bought a couple of those easy fill hanging baskets this year and they look a treat. Would be gutted if they got ruined because I left them out. I know we need the rain.
My OH is a gardener and he sometimes makes and maintains hanging baskets for clients. Quite often he'll go out and water them in the rain as they really are very thirsty things.
