Short curtains

Is it just me who hates them!?

Watching homes under the hammer ...hate those short curtains..

I had high windows in my old flat so couldnt have floor length ones but i hate ones that stop dead at the windowsill!?

Absolutely hate, hate them! It's like wearing long trousers that are 2 inches too short!

depends on the room and the depth of the window recess they look good if they sit within the window exactly touching the sill rather than hanging down outside

I don't like them either. I don't even want to think about them being paired with a scabby, yellow net curtain..... =s

Everyone seems to have them on here and they just look horrible IMO!

Mines in my room gather on the floor...i like that x

I know that's the fashion, Tinks, but I like them to be perfectly to the floor.

I think it is often a case of the window needing a different dressing maybe a blind with a framing drape rather than curtains

Yeah rowan i agree re the drape or even a pelmet sometimes.....i do like them
Perfect to the floor too tenrec the rest of the house is like that except my window hehe....

I dont know why they offend me sooo much!! My flay had two windows in living room and couch was under one- would have been better with nice pelmets and no curtains xx

I have used lace blinds framed with poles draped in emerald and gold saris that was quite eyecatching had similar saris draped over a pole behind the bed and round a dressing table

A lot of people have their radiators under the window though so long curtains just trap the heat

I personally have a bay window so I have blinds

Another good tip I once saw was to save money when curtaining really long windows just use an inepensive plain pattern and then edge the curtains with the pattern of your choice
It looked really effective in the photo I saw

I hate curtains puddling on the floor.

It's just a matter of taste.

I have just one on the floor....you are right though simply taste....
