Hi. I joined this site this afternoon with a question in home and gardens then had a look around the site and realised its a bit more than just a question and answer site so i might pop in from time to time. I'm not sure if you need or are expected to introduce yourself or you just get on with it. Anyway, hello! and hope I may be able to answer a few questions soon, though my knowledge is limited to self-sufficiency,gardening,animals and cooking. I suppose I could be described as an ageing hippy as this was my era and so glad it was. I've brought a bottle or three of last years Elderflower wine, some homemade honey and oat bread with a side of homemade fresh goats cheese and pickle, and some Vegan flapjacks (yes I'm one of those irritating people who do not eat animals) . Help yourselves!

Hi and welcome, I thought Vegans did not eat any product of animals?
Welcome to the site and I am sure you will find lots to both read and reply to, ageing hippy is good and your cooking tips will be very helpful indeed.

Mamya
welcome to the madhouse, it's fun, annoying and anything in between, no need to stand on ceremony, no one else does.. x
Unless its the goats cheese he's nicked.
Welcome to the mad house.I've just eaten so will pass on your kind offer but I'm sure there will be plenty along soon to say hello.
Anyone who brings wine is always welcome! So welcome to AB.

It's up to you whether you want to introduce yourself, some do and some dont. It is entirely up to you.

Best place is Chatterbank - that's where the inane chatter goes on. The other sections are reserved (rightly so) for more serious Q and A topics.

Enjoy.

(PS, it helps if you bring cake too, for B00 - she's the scary one).
Hi sebhfhion, Ive only been here a few weeks myself :)......I will have a flapjack and a glass of wine with you, thanks very much ....welcome by the way xx
Hi sebh, you are very welcome to AB you will hopefully soon settle in and enjoy it most people are very friendly and helpful and you are bringing goodies so they will soon disappear.
Welcome Seb I agree that this site offers a little bit more. I will partake of some goats cheese and pickle. Will try the wine as I never tasted any before.
cake yeah, not entirely sure about flapjacks, they always look suspiciously healthy, ,so i avoid those.

Hi. No I'm not Vegan (I would die, I love butter and cheese ) but the Flapjacks are suitable for Vegans just in case anyone on here is Vegan .
Hi seb, welcome, you sound like my type of person.

I can't help with your question about your water, but maybe you can tell me whether you've planted anything in your veg plot yet this year? I'm holding off for the ground to warm up, but finding it hard to wait much longer!
Welcome!
It's a fair assortment of different folks here, a sizable bunch of regulars and a few not so regulars. I tend to post in 'bouts', give it a break, post sporadically or not at all. Nice to see an aging hippie here!
I'll take a bit of flapjack if that's ok - now what's your favourite incense? Mine's Golden Nagchampa (Goloka) :-)
Hello Sebhfhion....an aging hippy bearing wine and goodies....Welcome!
good evening, and a very warm welcome

it is not compulsory to introduce yourself in that matter, but it is kind of you to do so

see you around
Ooh! I bet they're my favourite brand of flapjacK - can't remember the name but the cherry and coconut one is fab.
A hundred thousand welcomes. Your recipes will be a bonus. Do not consider yourself to be irritating, just means we meat eaters need to be flexible when feeding you.

Thankyou Barmaid for the tips. Boo, I have a lemon drizzle cake filled with homemade lemon curd and it has about half a pound each of butter and sugar in the recipe will that be ok? :-)
Hi Seb, welcome to AB. I'm sure you will fit in nicely.
Please stop in about cheese and cake, I'm a vegetarian on a diet!

Rice cakes rock.
