Hope the good people of AB can help, Our washing machine drum is beginning to smell somewhat, i think a kind of damp smell.
Can anyone suggest anything that i might cure this. Don't really want the clothes coming out smelling worse that than did going in. TIAx

Run it on the hottest wash, without a prewash.
Don't do whites on the next wash, as it may loosen some of the grey gunk tha builds up. Best to wash the towels you use for the pets first.
After that always leave the door open when it is not in use.

Do you use liquids or gels at lower temperatures? This is why there are lots of complaints about washing machine odours.
It can be prevented by doing the occasional hot wash using powder. (Powders contain bleaching agents that prevent bacteria and moulds growing - liquids do not).
And -yes - leave the door and powder dispenser drawer open to allow air to circulate.
