Hi, I hope someone can help me.Last year my roses flowered well ,this year one of them didn't. It is looking good, still growing new leaves, but not one single flower. Can you tell me what I have done wrong. Thank you.

ok I will on on this website thank you
Just a quick thought, could the non-flowering part be sucker growth ?
Same thing I was going to suggest Chip... if there's only one stem growing mightily and if the rose is a hybrid then it's likely the sucker is the problem. Easy way to tell is to see if the rapidly growing branch is coming from below or above the hybridizing graft… a knot just below where all the normal branches emanate… anything coming from below is worthless and sometimes leads to discarding the rose,,,
Usually 7 leaves per stem on a sucker and 5 on a good shoot.

thank you for your replies.
you're not the only one malteser - mine haven't flowered yet either :-( They are growing well in leaf and the buds have appeared, but they are very, very late this year for some reason
Hope your's put on a show soon :-)

I hope that it will flower. Last year it had flowers. I think it is called Anna Pavlova , large pink and very fragrant.
