I'm finally getting a new fridge freezer delivered on Tuesday. When should I think about defrosting the old one and letting it stand ready for them to take away?
I don't have another freezer available to store stuff so the later the better. TIA

I disagree that frozen food will remain frozen for 24hrs when out the freezer - yes, a whole chicken or turkey but small portions of meat, steaks, chops and so on, fish will be defrosted in very few hours and as for icecreams, no time at all until they are soft.
Agree Fox, even if left in a fridge.
ok but some big food items could be salvaged.
