Daft question - Is there such a thing as a sweet rhubarb, or sweeter than others?

Not heard of one Star ....... but I just add sugar anyway :)

Definitely ... if you choose the younger thinner stalks you will find them sweeter than the older thicker stalks.
The answer lies in not letting them go and taking the younger stems on a regular basis .. just chop them and freeze them dry, in zip lock bags.
It tastes just as good a few months later ... so I am told.

I am buying this for my son and he asked the daft question. It made me stop and think about which sort to buy, so I am supposing that any kind will be all right.
