i have 2 pieces of "lucky bamboo" i have had had it in water for about 3 years it has a goot root ball. can it be tranferred into compost safetly, if so do i need special compost?
Hi jaks, I have been watching your question with interest as I have one of these plants and wanted to know the answer too. !!! However none were forthcoming, so I took the libery of asking again in C.B. and I have the following advice. Keep in water, and no they will not grow if planted into compost. I have also asked on here again so keep checking. Hope this helps you.
jaks, Hi it's me again !!! what ever you do DON'T plant your bamboo in compost. Only found out earlier today from a specialist they only grow in water.
