Morning piggies & peggies...feeling a tad better better (thanks all) - well I was 'til I watched the peg video...ewwww!... my face looks like I've slept on it pegs some mornings, haha. I've got an uncomfortable throat & sore glands now, so I've no idea if this is 'it' or not...even my fingers hurt on Sunday. I never know where I end & a virus starts, tut. Anyway it was a lovely day yesterday & good to get some fresh air...a nice man with a big chopper came & gave my bud glob a good hacking so it's very bare now, for a while at least, shall I send him to do yours shaney?
I think a long stay by the sea's what I need & I've seen just the place I want to live....Baggy House in Devon! I could rename it Old Baggy House. You'll no doubt know it Vin...please tell me you own it, lol, or you've at least been inside. It was on Dream Homes on Sunday, the architect Anthony Hudson & his wife were restoring a Georgian house in Norfolk so they showed Baggy H as one he made earlier...and would you believe, they went to Stockholm for interior design inspiration. It was so pictureskew, ankle deep in snow & they visited the round library - amazing place - and an open air museum. It really is a beautiful city Kit.
Think I might need a bit of sommink on me chest...
(.)(.)....hehe, I knew there'd be trouble when I saw sweedie's 'eyes'....things could be worse....( : )( : )

Hi folks
Beautiful normal summer day here ,sloshing down most of the morning .And of course I had to stagger to the hairdressers in it .At least I look less like an overgrown Bud Glob now .
You can come and stay with me by the sea if you like Robinia ..you'll have to take me as you find me though. No matching pegs I'm afraid and my man isn't coming until next month to trim my bushes :)
Midsomer Multiple Murders is on this week ..it's a new one :)
Glad you're feeling better though .I don't think this weather helps ,it's up and down like Tower Bridge .
I'm ploughing through the Godfather Trilogy at the mo'..Al Pacino in his younger days .Whoo ha !!
Hope you good people are all well .Hobbledypip for now .

What a washout of a day...pah!
Don't worry neti I'm wearing one of jno's spare bags (how come you didn't notice?), I'll throw it on Vin's chimbley when I'm fully recovered just to be on the safe side.
oh poop, you don't own it Vincent?......well please point me the direction of the man who does...failing that, I'll have to get busy buying Eurolotto tickets.
Thanks for the offer shaney...I've been doing a bit of reading too - mainly involving shopping sites. My oldest son says I've got a bad case of *His wife*-itis which causes spontaneous & unwarranted purchasing of clothing & handbags on the internet and there's no cure...haha. Look away now Vincent...I've ordered some new drawers (& bras) to go in my new drawers, I must be delerious they're much wilder colours than the boring ole black/white/nude I always pick...I'll never find pegs in hot pink & animal print. :o)
How is it that all biddy threads lead to pegs...all shopping sites lead to handbags ...and all youtube links lead to George Michael? :o)

Evening possums. Does it feel like Sunday where you are too, I keep thinking it is. Far too little of Robbie Coltrane in that Potter film yesterday in my opiniation (love him in Cracker). Amazing imagery/effects and I admire how it's a world unto its own and all that but I didn't get carried away. My friend gave me a bit of background; I loved the fact that one of the characters is a collector of Muggle items ha ha ha!
Ooo Neti I love Truman Capote! He was a nasty little bitch and I wouldn't want him for a friend but what a writer. Have you read Other Voices, Other Rooms?
Had a look at Neil Hannon as well Lottie - you sure like dem boys with guitars don't you;-) I watched an interview on YouTube with Thom Yorke with Dutch subtitles and where he said "know what I mean?" the translation was "Snap je?" - how funny is that language!
Er Vinny England is welcome to the victory in that contest -but from his name and his accent I can tell you that "the Swede" was a Finn! Swedes are made of rougher stuff than that, you know.
Yes Robinia Stockholm is the cat's pajamas:) The open-air folk museum you saw will have been Skansen - right?

quick everyone, form a circle around jno & do a clog dance...
Yes Kit, it was Skansen - but in the snow, not a lot of country dancing going on.
Crikey, they take the sticky suit game a bit seriously ...and you call that tough? Where I grew up we had a far tougher version which involved wearing brushed nylon & hurling yourself against pebble dashed walls :o)
Now your city may be stunning but the language.....I'm sorry, but written down it looks like a cat ran across the keyboard...hahahaha...that's me banned from visiting Sweden

God morgon
Well can I just remind you that I only had one roller skate too - and I shared that with my sister. It wasn't that I lost one....I found one. True. :o)
Do you know, a comedian used that in his routine recently? Now he was either telling the truth too, in which case we must be destined to marry or he's reading these threads & pinching my material... tut. I need a lawyer.
mmm, shame I can't remember who it was....

Afternoon all - When I first came to live here the women did used to washed their clothes etc in the local river and slap them on stones, I was amazed, but then we had to pull water out of a well (in an old metal bucket as the plastic ones would float and not get in any water!) to do our washing outside in a big blue bowl. Even in those days the washing powders were made for use with cold water. Had to use the hand pump 300 times a day to get water for kitchen and bathroom (cold of course) and washing water was used to flush the loo. I used to boil a saucepan of water to wash my hair (and body) and rinse in ice cold water, min d you, the hair was everso shiny. Ah the good old days!!
Afternoon All
Crikey Neti however did you cope. I have been so lucky always lived in a houses with inside loos running water and gas and electric. Mind you I have stayed in a house without a bathroom and toilet across the yard. That made me realize how lucky I was. That was when I was about 11 and in a miner's cottage in Yorkshire. The man of the house had to bathe in a tin bath in front of the fire after he had done his days work in the mine.
I'm still Polly sitting this week only two more days to go. Got scratched today by her for my pains. She really does dislike me so I'm steering clear from now on. I was only saying hello as well.
The weather is a bit improved today a bit of sunshine but a bit windy. They are promising a fine weekend so here's looking forward to it.
Going to watch Midsomer Murders tonight. I like that programme but I believe it's the last series or the last one I'm not sure. Perhaps somebody knows out there.
Hope all with ailments are improving now and steering clear of the swine flu.
Take care see yer later 'gater(s)
