fatsia japonica

i have a huge fatsia in my garden which I would like to propogate.I have tried several times to grow a cutting from it with no success.It is now in bloom.Well bloom is not quite the right word.It has these large cream clusters growing up from the central stem.Can I take seed from these and try that or has anyone a better suggestion.Come in andyjevs your advice would be much appreciated !!

My last day of cat duty tomoroow. My son and his wife have been to Manchester for a long weekend to see Take that and do a bit of shopping. I think it was his wife who really wanted to go. Apparently Take That were fantastic.

good morning each, another warm and sticky one here.
Took the dogs out real early as usual this morning (04.30) so that they get a cool run before the idiots get up. Anyway there beside the carpark was a tent! Its not allowed of course but people do it and I can see why, it must be lovely in all the peace and quiet. Anyway my two went whooping round it like marauding sioux until i called them away....must have been some awakening for the residents lol!

Morning All Lovely day today but like you say Robi it's going to be hot! hot! hot! so I shall quite happily stop inside and watch the tennis.all the big names are playing today.
I bet it's lovely walking that early in the morning Woofy I sometimes wish I had a dog but then again I said I never would have after my old Shep died.

I've finished my cat sitting for the weekend until later this month when they are off to Majorca for a week. She's getting a bit more used to me but still wont let me stroke her. I think she was ill-treated at some point as my son's wife is the only person allowed anywhere near her.

Just back from the White Island - well a couple of hours ago - having survived two weeks of hospitality and sharp wit from the infamous Neti! Did she actually call me elegant? Don't remember slipping something in her coffee. Ah, but it's a strange island, and the sun was very hot. Regret we had to miss the launch of the new Lilo/Dinghy that would have been a sight to see. Can report she is looking well in spite of all her moaning.

Hi marm, got back ok then. I had to go back to the Zen SEa restaurant and get Mr N's spectacles as he had left them there. I almost asked for our chips but thought better of it! Gosh it's so hot heryes you did look rather elegant swanning from your hotel and there's me staggering off the mountain all sweti like!

we time it for sunrise or just before so go out loads later in November, also there are more chances of a quiet walk later in the day because the grocks have all left. It is a lovely time to be out once you are conscious :)
