Yup that's me Kit, a sanctimonious potty mouth :-)

I know a lovely story about an Irish catholic priest...the story was told as true and they named the guy on BBC radio2's pause for thought.
Apparently he was travelling by car to speak at an important meeting. His train was late, the car got caught in traffic, it was a pouring wet day and finally the car broke down. The story goes that he sat calmly in the back of the car and said "Oh well then B*gger You God"
All going well here. DH still on a hydrating drip and a heart monitor but allowed to unplug himself and leave the ward for coffee in the hospital cafe. his blood chemistry is improving just about by the hour. Am sending a big wad of good wishes and good health to Mr S. Nighty night all
He he that's a priest to my own liking Woofy (and I meant swearing filter of course, not spam filter).
Hello there a last call in before I go to my bed. My neighbour has been round but we only had a Bailys and some coffee and a natter. Didn't feel like watching the film.
Yes Kit. The conversation I had with my son was very helpful really helped him as well as me because we both were better and were able to compare things. But if I had told him when it was happening I think it would have been very different.
I now have a lovely bright light in my kitchen and my blind is coming on 29th. So I'm well pleased. Simple things please simple minds. So they say!

I'm fine (touch wood) and ready to dance the fandango, Lottie. Dining at the Criterion tonight in the heart of London's fabled West End, on the famous Piccadilly Circus, hub of the British Empire.

mmm, I should be writing tourism literature.
Well watch out jno

http://www.toptable.com/venue/?id=13357

and a friend's booked a table.

I'm terrible with food, there's so much I can't eat (fish mostly) or don't like at all (mushrooms) or just don't enjoy enough to leave home for (chicken, broccoli, etc)
Sounds wonderful jno.

Does this sum you up then

"A well-dressed crowd gathers beneath the Criterion’s gilded ceilings, grand windows and imposing arches"

You can have Ostrich and black pudding!!
ostrich, hmmm, don't know about that, I was hoping for something a bit more traditional. The friend who booked it is the one who had the back of her head on Strictly, so she is good at glam.

Just trying to remember the 1580 earthquake in London, must have knocked a few traitors' heads off their pikes.
So you will be in glamorous mode tonight jno?

Perhaps the Pope will pop in for a meal!!
Good news .
The cancer has no secondarys ( liver, lungs etc ) so he's booked in for the some time beginning of October for the op.Of course they won't be able to tell about the lymph glands until they analyse what they take away. But they seem pretty confident that it should go well and any little bits ,if there are any ,can be zapped with Chemo.
Very nice consultant ( Prof P's second in command) who explained the in, outs and what may or may not happen .Infections ,DVT etc . This tube that tube etc .Because it a major thing .

Thank you all so very much for your kind words and support
You are all "simply the best " xxxxxx

T pip for now ...and whatever you are all doing for the rest of today ,have a good one.
Hope Mr W is doing OK. How's Mr N Neti ?
See you later .
Oh I am so pleased and relieved for Mr S,and you of course Shaney.

It was the news we all expected because t hey hadn't rushed him into hospital, but nevertheless until is was confirmed you were obviously both worried. If he's anything like my Grandad you will be celebrating 70 years of marriage before you know it!!
.
This had made my weekend!!

xxxxxxxx
