gas usage

Hi, I have recently had a 2 month battle about my gas consumption with British Gas.

My fuel consumption went up to almost three times the amount of what I would normally use at this time of year .

It was finally agreed that I had a faulty meter, (this fault was found by their engineer eventually) and I got a new meter installed.

I have now found that my usage is still way to high.

The gas flow into the house has been checked.

I have had my water heater/boiler checked twice & also my gas cooker, but all been found to be okay.

I have also been told that there is no gas leak.

Has anyone got any ideas what could be causing the consumption of gas to be so high.

I have had to turn the heating and the hot water off because of the speed at which the meter goes up when these are switched on and I am really worried about the mounting bill.
