Bleeding Radiators

I have tried bleeding my radiators and the water just trickles out. I thought it should gush out?

Why is this?

Have you made sure that the pump is working and still functional. I had a similar problem but although the pump hummed it was not turning.

The water won't gush out,as you open it if air is trapped it will make a hissing noise followed by the water,once the water comes out it is bled, Ray

i thought the radiator in my daughters room needed bled but we were having to do this every other day and sometimes there was no air trapped. it turned out our system neede flushed so now that has been done and radiator working fine now.

It trickles out because the bleed hole is small.
