i recently bought a lovely pair of leather pump style shoes. They are my size and fit nicely ..but the leather is so hard ! I have been rubbing Renapur into them with no effect . I have worn them once and got a blister for my trouble .What else can I do to soften them up ?
Robinia much as I'm not a flower person (yes I was in the 60's) those roses are beautiful and so English, I honestly can smell them - reminds me of my Dad's beautiful Rose garden and the lovely smells when we were young. This is what I miss (apart from Primark!)
yes, you're right neti, it does have that lovely old fashioned soft smell but, for reasons I won't bore you with Jude I'm pretty sure it isn't Queen Elizabeth.
That pic makes the flowers look larger & deeper pink than they are... of course they've had no sun to fade them.
lovely pics shaney....my daisies won't be standing much longer in this. And as for the buddlies, I've forgotten what a butterfly looks like.
well, that's a bit more bodging done...it's awfully tedious painting all those venetian blind slats...... Vinny, when your brushes go a bit thin on the ends, is it a good idea to give 'em a trim? lol....
I'm not tight , I just have a cake habit to fund.....
I've lost the plot, has anyone got a spare....?.....
well, Hampton Court was very pretty, and the sun was out for much of the time (as it so often is when I'm around, of course), and I have returned with my head full of ideas for weird metal sculptures... perhaps another gin and they will go away... Anyeway, the free grand marnier and elderflower cordial they were dishing out was most pleasant, unlike the Banrock stall which was giving out cheap and nasty Oz wine. Seemingly every garden in the place now has a water feature, hadn't realised they were quite so necessary, b ut any more rain and I will have one at home whether I like it or not.
Glad you had a nice time Jno ..I used to love Hampton Court even without the flower show and used to often take the boys when they were younger ...of course all that history has passed them by and they can only remember Transformers and sticker albums !!
Please do not wish an indoor water feature on yourself .They don't exactly make a nice peaceful gurgling sound and they ruin your plaster and downstairs lav.!anymore .Waste of time .
And those last couple of words were from a cut and paste thing from word document I had to paste this into before i could post ...this is so annoying that you have to copy anything into word before you can post it .
That was the eighth attempt to post ...I give up I really do .Not only do I have square eyes but it is getting so that you "rubber stamp " and that is frowned upon in Q&P.Can they please put a shilling in the meter ..I am so annoyed I may venture into suggs.

must dash, I haven't had any cakes since Monday & I'm getting the dt's...might be enough left for a budget buy paintbrush, they don't work too well with a crew-cut. :o)
Morning wobblies ...lovely day ...warm and sunny at the moment .Hope it keeps nice . I may even expose myself to the elements .Will this post today ..? Or have they still got slugs in the electrics.

strewth I'm creaky today, even my hair aches.
go for it shaney...so long as you haven't been rubbing the gravy browning on your pins again....& I don't think it was good idea to draw your seam with a glitterpen...trollop.
Sun in ..sun out ...repeat after me ..rain on rain off ....
It's no good I have had to abandon the shorts for the usual jeans as I went all streaky like my hair ...so I took some cuttings instead and messed around tidying the shed . The things you find ....I don't know why I thought a bicycle puncture repair kit would come in useful ..I don't have a bike .And why are there so many bottles of car polish when my son never cleans his car .
