Scummy Taps

Ok so the white vinegar does not work, can anyone recommend something that will clean the scale of my taps

when we moved here our taps & shower in the bathroom were really gunged up with limescale & like you, I tried white vinegar several times with no success. I bought a trigger bottle spray 'LimeLite' & it took two attempts with the help of a bit of scothbrite scourer & now they are gleaming! I also used this product to clean the tiles & shower cubicle and found it brilliant. hope this helps with your question.

Try ASTONISH. It claims to be the "great houshold cleaner" and I have used it on taps, ceramic surfaces , and even glass.( albeit my garage windows.) It is a good product and doesn't contain any acid, phosphates or animal products and doesn't scratch the surfaces to which it is applied.

Honestly, it is a good product. Only wish I knew how to benefit from giving publicity to it...........Ron

I'll second that. Astonish is brilliant & in my opinion, no home should be without a tub of it. I've recently cleaned some 'weathered' concrete outside with it!!! I really didn't expect it to work although I have used it for years but with a little elbow grease & small scrubbing brush these pieces of concrete have come up so clean and white again! anyone reading this, give it a try - its only about 89p for a tub that lasts for ages

yes limelite is a great product for removeng scale,also try soaking some strong tissue in lemon juice and wrapping it round taps for a few hours.helps to loosen it and with abit of scrubbing i find it works quite well

use harpic toilet cleaner put some on the taps over night it will get rid of your lime scale{ not joking} it is cheaper
