oriental lilies

i have grown oriental lilies in large pots and fed them well, but the second year they have few blooms, has anyone any tips for me ? the suppliers say they get better each year. thanks in advance

i had some stargazers etc in pots and last year they didnt do well due to this unknown green bug that appeared, i used diluted soapy water to get rid of them, but the damage was already done by then, i cut them back , and they came back nice this year. my advise watch out for unusual bugs as the years have been different,we have been getting some verried bugs and flies about
