This is the sort of job that needs a plumber + electrician mainly due to the high current drawn by the shower. You may also need some changes to your consumer unit.
Assuming your water system is reasonable it is not a 'difficult' job but best left to professionals

Thans scotman will ring around and get some quotes, my dads pretty handy at diy but like you say it needs a proffesional from a safety factor x
Hi Pizza - I did my own a while ago - the biggest problem I had was getting the cable down to the consumer unit (fusebox). I dropped it down the cavity and knocked a brick out just above the fusebox.
I was a total novice but the electrical wiring and plumbing are fairly straight forward for a confident DIY'er in my opinion.
As Squitty says the actual job is quite easy, it's the bits on the side that are hard, i,e. getting it certified by S & H, fair enough you can "forget" about this sort of thing and be OK but now a days not having this sort of certification can lead to all sorts of problems in future
