The picture on my television has turned green. It's also got red in it. Is it worth getting it fixed or should i buy a new one. It's a Toshiba 28" and it's about 6 years old.

It sounds like the colour guns are on the way out. For a TV of that age, I'd be inclined to replace it - it will cost a bit to repair, and I'd put that money towards an up-to-date model.
you haven't placed a loud speaker near it have you? the magnetism can cause this effect.
Or it could just need de-gaused. This means that the shadow mask has become magnetised and re-directs the electron beam to the wrong colour. A TV repair shop could de-magnetise it for you.

Unlikely to be caused by a speaker - as has been suggested the colour guns have a problem.

I would look for a local, small independent repairer. They can do wonders, know their stuff and usually at a reasonable price.

I have had my tv for 2 years, the other night my electric went out, when i turned my tv back on the picture was all green has anybody got any knowledge in to whats happened. thankyou.
