For those who helped with my Knockers, need help with my Flap!!

I had wonderful advice re my knocker and knobs being tarnished and dull, they are a credit to my entry now.
The problem I have is that the flap seems to be made of different stuff and is very tired looking, any ideas?

you should apply polyfilla to any cracks first - they do it in a nice creamy version these days that you can just rub in. This should stop you peeling off when the sun comes out.

at this time of year it's always good to have a man look at old boilers. Leakage can be a worry.

If you do Mamya - check his credentials first - a well stocked tool box and he must bring his own dust sheets. No self-respecting lady wants to leave evidence that she has had a messy cowboy around.

A small vestibule indeed, we have no way of checking that. my entry is quite spacious really.

yu should go for low-energy lights - with those big sodium ones, your neighbours won't be able to see the night sky.

maybe, Ena, but you don't want them either blinded or tripping over in the dark while trying to effect an entry. A little line of lights, like those ones in the aisles in planes showing you where to go, should suffice.

In the old days there used to be a snail trail leading the way, but then I had some frogs in the garden and they all disappeared <<sigh>>

It stings a bit, but you can see your face in it afterwards.
