Burglar Alarm

I have just replaced the main battery in my Scantronic 500r+ alarm but the low battery light is still flashing on the panel also the PA light is flashing too, can anyone tell me how to sort this....

Have you a manual?
Is the new battery charged fully? Did you check it?
You may need to do a system reset.

I have got a manual but there is no instuctions on how to replace the main battery, i presumed the battery would be fully charged how can i check this?

The spec that I found seems to indicate that it's 12V Lead/Acid battery. Many such batteries are supplied virtually uncharged. Assuming that that's the case, put it on a car battery charger before installing.

They are nearly all 12v ... as the sounders, etc, are all 12v .. usually.
So you can get by with a motorcycle battery if you cannot get original.
Just make sure it's filled ... and charged. Better charged off of the alarm first.
