ebay non payer
18 Answers
How long would you wait before taking action? It's been 5 days since this auction ended and it looks like I have another non payer. Sent invoice and a message and had no reply at all. It's only 4 quid, but i would like to be paid.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Go to your My ebay page and click on the drop down menu alongside the item.
Now click on 'resolve a problem' , it will take you to the next page. You will see ' I have sold an item and not been payed' just click on that option.
ebay will send the nonpayer a message, if they have not payed in 4 days you can go back the the case and close it. Closing the case will give you the final value fee back so you can relist the item, it will also give a 'nonpayer' strike to the buyer. I have a non pay case running at the moment, I will be able to close it tomorrow, only £7.50 but I have an underbidder who wants it.

I give them a week, then send an email telling them I am going to relist the item.
wait two days, then get ebay on the case if its an expensive item which had loads of bidders, or for a cheap item, i just relist and ignore them. there are a lot of kids out there who play silly bug***ers and bid on anything just for a laugh.

I seem to be having a run of bad luck at the moment....a non-paying bidder who refused to answer any emails, someone who wouldn't confirm the address to which they wanted the item sending, and a buyer who bought five items from me, asked me to send them all together, and now says she hasn't received the parcel. :o(
I was starting to wonder if it's just me being unlucky, but reading this thread, I see that's not the case.

One of the worst aspects of ebay for sellers is that unless you send the item by a recorded service , so that it an be tracked, the buyer can just claim not to have received it ,ebay always side with the buyer and take the refund out of your paypal account. I always offer recorded post but few people will pay for it. So far, dispite selling nearly 1,000 items, I have only had two do this.
