I bought a second hand dolls pram for my grand-daughter to use at my house but I noticed there is a rod underneath the body that slots into a hole but it was originally soldered.
Is it possible to use some sort of glue to repair it. I can't solder it back

The right kind of araldite will glue metal to metal, make sure it is clean and grease free. You can also get putty type stuff that comes in two parts that you knead together that will glue the bits together and fill in any gaps, again make sure the Metal is sound and rust and grease free.

Thanks!. I will give it a go.
The best glue I know of is Liquid Weld which I saw for sale at Cosford Air Show but have never seen since. Can anyone tell me the number for it if they have it?
I doubt very much that it was soldered, welded maybe but unlikely soldered, maybe even brazed. I have a little experience with gluing metal but it failed every time.
I agree with araldite...

(I've not tried this, so it's not a suggestion from me)
It could well of been silver soldered, Ratter, it's a pretty quick and easy way of joining metals in some situations.
Though I guess technically silver soldering is a type of brazing :)
If you could describe the joint and say what it's function is someone will be able to give you more appropriate advice.
I would suggest popping it into any back street garage and they will put a spot of weld on it in 5 seconds and probably wont even charge you.
If they could braze it might be better ?
I agree with Jomifl. We need to know what this rod is and what it does before we can advise properly.

The rod is on the undercarriage of a dolls pram . Basically it supports the pram from toppling to one side.

There are two and both of them have dislodged on the same side.

It is a hole in the frame of the pram and these two rods push in either side to keep the frame square.
Is it possible to drill a hole through both and use a bolt/nut?
