I know absolutely nothing about this but my 14 year old daughter wants to buy an iphone 4 from my cousin. The iphone is currently on an O2 network.
She is currently on a vodaphone contract where we pay £10 a month and she gets xxx amount of calls and txts.
Now obviously she'd like to stay with vodaphone and keep her contract. Are these phones compatible to swap or can the new iphone be "chipped" (whatever that means).
My cousin also mentioned that the sim cards were a smaller size in the iphone to standard one ?
Should be ok to do, but...
you will need to obtain a new SIM card from VODA Phone to fit the iPhone
and more importantly the iPhone may be currently 'locked' to the O2 network, in which case you will also need to have it unlocked by a Phone shop e.g. O2 / VODA Phone, usually at at price of of approx. £15-£25.
Best to talk to both O2 and VODA Phone to clarify contract conditions.
