A friend got a mobile phone no instructions ( hopefully to get them ) it has been charged and now only shows a picture like a big 6 with an arrow pointing down to inside circle. It is a Samsung touch phone but nothing seems to move on pressing middle button and touching probably every bi of it . Help please , not technically minded either.

Try pressing AND HOLDING the power key (on the top right hand side).

My suggestion is derived from looking at the manual for the Tocco Lite 2 (which is one of several phones that could be meant by 'Samsung touch phone). You can download it from here:

Thanks Chris , I have tried all that it says and it wont move from that image Will tell friend to take it to phone shop tomorrow.

Try touching the middle of the screen and moving your finger to left or right side. Might be the lock screen.

These modern phones have their instructions on the internet, so if you could quickly download them and read the quick start guide, you could maybe help her. I take it she has a SIM card inserted.

Thanks sim card was inserted . She took it to mobile phone shop today and chap said it had needed an adjustment , works now ,
